OUTINGS AND VISITS 2026

Tuesday 3rd February - The D Day Map room at Southwick House, Fareham PO17 6EJ. 2pm. Admission £10. Photo ID is required to gain access to the site.

Car parking in car parks 2 and 3. Please arrive at the main gate no later than 1.45pm. Latecomers may not be admitted. Please dress appropriately as we will be in the Officer’s Mess.

Photos are permitted, but no flash photography please and no photos are to be taken of military personnel.

There's also the option to visit the Military Police Museum at the same site at no additional charge.

 

Thursday 23rd April – Bastion 1 – part of “The Gosport Lines” defences, now an Ancient Monument. 11am. Admission is free but donations will be gratefully accepted.

The entrance is in Trinity Green through the large oak gates opposite Trinity Church. The local car park has free parking for up to 2 hours for visitors.

If anyone has any suggestions for outings or visits, please feel free to suggest these to Irene. They should ideally be less than 1 hours car drive away from the Stubbington/Hill Head area.

We take a break from our monthly meetings from May to August inclusive, so these are often very good months for outings and visits.
